Chalk Pastel
A3
Magnolia flowers have a very special place in my heart. My grandma had a print of a painting of magnolias by artist Vesty Rich on her wall for many years and I would often admire it as we sat to take high tea together and munched away at the abundance of food which she insisted must be eaten up! I was delighted to discover that what used to be called the "Rhododendron Gardens" (now called Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden" - on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia - contained a large amount of magnolia trees of various kinds. The flower that features in this chalk-pastel drawing of mine was a bloom that I photographed while visiting the gardens. It seemed to glow with a light from within and I couldn't resist capturing its beauty.
This image will be printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper to best suit the original medium.
Beauty's Fragrant Glow
Most of my original artworks are available in archival quality print form and are printed using the giclée process by ACME et al in Steels Creek, Victoria. Each stage of the printing process is carefully overseen by James, the printer (with nearly three decades of industry experience), to ensure the highest quality product. These prints are made to last for decades with minimal fading and are printed on high-end, sturdy papers.
Because the prints are made on demand and printed individually rather being mass-produced, please allow between two to three weeks for processing and delivery of your order (or a little longer for customers outside of Australia).
Please note that framing is not included with print purchases.
