Pen and ink

41.5 x 50.5 cm

'The Grounds at Pemberley' is a pen and ink drawing based on a photograph I had taken upon visiting Lyme Park in the UK back in 2008. The facade and grounds of the stunning mansion were used as Mr Darcy's residence 'Pemberley' in the BBC production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The drawing itself is, to date, the largest pen and ink drawing I have ever attempted. The rhododendrons and overarching trees perfectly frame the view - giving a glimpse of the lake and the neoclassical facade of the building.

This image will be printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® paper (308 gsm) to best suit the original medium.
