Pen and inkA4
It is a marvel to me that such a beautiful river runs through the heart of Melbourne’s outer-western suburbs. The city of Wyndham is growing rapidly and it is getting harder to find restful places to unwind without being swamped by crowds of people. The Werribee River provides such a place of sanctuary. Its flowing water and adjacent walking trails adorned with native flora and fauna are a relief from the hubbub of life nearby.
This particular pen and ink scene features the footbridge near Watton Street in Werribee. Across the bridge to the left is a large recreation park and to the right is a starkly contrasting carpark. Beneath the bridge flows the Werribee River - laced with water plants that in my mind’s eye are reminiscent somewhat of Claude Monet’s much-loved waterlilies.
This image will print best on Hahnemühle German Etching paper.
Through the Bustling City the Silent River Winds
Most of my original artworks are available in archival quality print form and are printed using the giclée process by ACME et al in Steels Creek, Victoria. Each stage of the printing process is carefully overseen by James, the printer (with nearly three decades of industry experience), to ensure the highest quality product. These prints are made to last for decades with minimal fading and are printed on high-end, sturdy papers.
Because the prints are made on demand and printed individually rather being mass-produced, please allow between two to three weeks for processing and delivery of your order (or a little longer for customers outside of Australia).
Please note that framing is not included with print purchases.
