ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I became well acquainted with the Werribee River walking trails back in 2020 when Victorians were restricted in how far they could travel from their home. It was truly a God-send that the river was within walking distance from my home. Winter of 2020 was a hard time for many and very much a hard time for me as I was not only dealing with a global crisis but my own health crisis. It became very important for my well-being and recovery that I take regular walks - getting sun exposure, fresh air, increasing blood flow and clearing the head. The river was a social blessing too as I would come across friends and family on my walks. All this was accompanied by the stunning backdrop and soothing sounds of the river and its vegetation/birdlife.
‘Walking in Winter’s Light’ is a pen and ink sketch based on one of many photos I have taken of the Werribee River and its walking trails. This path is part of the Riverbend Historical Park in Werribee. The photo was taken during one of my winter walks when the cool, crisp sunlight created long shadows across the path - brightening my spirit and gently giving fresh hope for the times to come.
This image will be printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® paper (308 gsm) to best suit the original medium.

Most of my original artworks are available in archival quality print form and are printed using the giclée process by ACME et al in Steels Creek, Victoria. Each stage of the printing process is carefully overseen by James, the printer (with nearly three decades of industry experience), to ensure the highest quality product. These prints are made to last for decades with minimal fading and are printed on high-end, sturdy papers.
Because the prints are made on demand and printed individually rather being mass-produced, please allow between two to three weeks for processing and delivery of your order (or a little longer for customers outside of Australia).
Please note that framing is not included with print purchases.
